Thank you for visiting us here at lagrangebible.org. LGBC is a nondenominational church that was first established in 1906 by Swedish immigrants, meeting in a downtown LaGrange facility that's still standing. We relocated to our present facility in Southeast LaGrange in 1958.

Our message is relevant...

People need hope.
People need something to live for. A purpose in life. A way to face the future with confidence. If you have a deep hope anchored within you, it will take you through any struggle in life. Have you felt this deep hope?

People need support.
People need help from one another. No one is an island. We are not born into this world alone, but we can die that way. If you want to face any challenge in life, you can do it best with the support of other people. Have you known such support?

People need worship.
All people worship. We may worship our possessions, our job, our spouse, ourselves... anything or anyone can be worshipped. Within people’s hearts is an innate desire to worship. If you find true worship, you can find the true meaning of life. Have you experienced this kind of worship?

Jesus Christ can meet these needs...

He is the way to hope.
Hope in this life and beyond. His promise is eternal life to those who believe Him. Eternal life can be yours right now, if you turn from your own ways and ask Jesus to take up residence in your life.

He is the way to support.
Support from within and without. God gives His Spirit to those who believe him. The Holy Spirit is a Comforter and Helper within. The Church is God’s instrument from without to provide support throughout life.

He is the way to worship.
Worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth. Jesus said that God was seeking all who would worship Him.

Reaching up.
LaGrange Bible Church looks to God for a proper balance in all areas of life. We believe in worship that strengthens every facet of a person’s life – physical, intellectual, emotional, social, moral and spiritual. Worship should truly be a celebration. Reaching up to God meets your need for worship.

Reaching in.
LaGrange Bible Church strives to build up the lives of those who attend. A full range of growth opportunities is available. Spiritual development is promoted through Bible teaching, prayer, cooperative learning, and daily living. Reaching in to the church meets your need for support.

Reaching out.
LaGrange Bible Church believes in telling the Good News of Jesus Christ to others. Emphasis is placed on local and global outreach. This Good News is the hope that can take a person through any struggle in life. A hope that even looks beyond this life and into all of eternity. Reaching out to others meets their need for hope, just as the Gospel reaches out to you to meet your need for hope.
